Trainee Business Development

Job Location: Reading, United Kingdom

Salary: £20,000 – £25,000 per annum.

Note* This position requires the candidate to be on-site for three days per week. Visa sponsorship cannot be provided for this role.
 

JOB SUMMARY

Akoni Technologies is a tech startup specializing in ServiceNow implementation, cloud solutions, integrations, enterprise development, and artificial intelligence. As we expand our business development team, we are seeking fresh talent to work under the leadership of our Business Development Manager (BDM). We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, adaptable to new challenges, and capable of quickly acclimating to a fast-paced environment. As Akoni Technologies expands its horizons, this role is ideal for Students or fresh graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in leading business development efforts and contribute to our continued growth. 

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support senior business development professionals in prospecting and lead generation.
  • Assist in researching and identifying potential clients and market segments.
  • Be proactive in your outreach, liaising closely with the relevant BDM to ensure you are both aligned and not overlapping work.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to gain exposure to business development processes.
  • Use various data sources to cold calling and identify business opportunities.
  • Be open to learning new skill sets, experimenting with fresh ideas, and thinking outside the box.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, and client interactions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to provide valuable insights.
  • Play an active role in personally nurturing and developing large/key customers and enabling the business to grow and capture market share.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities.
  • Be able to clearly articulate and understand the benefits that Akoni’s service offering provides.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Students or fresh graduates in a relevant field (business, marketing, technology, or related disciplines).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • A strong interest in business development and technology industry.
  • Excellent communication and creative thinking.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
